Cavalli Restaurant

Head Chef Michael Deg believes in serving delicious, fresh whole foods prepared in a way that honours the seasons – and he and his team forage daily in the heirloom vegetable garden.

Dine from the a la carte menu or alternatively enjoy the Summer set menu – 7 courses for R650.

The menu boasts delicious vegetarian and vegan options alike. What is amazing about Chef Michael Deg is that he will take a vegetarian dish and revamp it for you into a mouth-watering vegan dish.

De Vrije Burger

The eatery has just released their new Veggie Burger. Check their Bo-Kaap inspired falafel burger, with double cheese and all the trimmings – vrek lekker! Enjoy the perfect crunch followed by a mouthful of Bo-Kaap zing.

Cafe Furlough

The ethos of this café is quite simple — to serve you with ingredients and surroundings that nurture and nourish. The space is a calm haven where you can take a break, refuel on a wholesome offering and gather yourself amidst the daily hustle.

Recommended menu items include incredibly delicious breakfast bowls:

  • Classic rolled oats (butter, milk, honey and toasted almonds and you can replace the diary with almond milk for R15).
  • Seasonal fruit and gluten free granola

For lunch you can expect nothing but nourished goodness:

Longtable at Longridge

The award-winning Longridge restaurant lies at the foot of the Helderberg mountains, overlooking moonlit vines and breath-taking views of the False Bay Peninsula and Table Mountain. Plus, all the ingredients used in the Longridge Restaurant are organic and free range.

Picnics can be enjoyed on the spacious shaded lawns, at one of the pre-booked picnic areas situated in the gardens or alongside the lush wetlands. With streams to splash in, outdoor sculptures to explore and gardens to discover, the Babushka Picnics are ideal for families and friends to spend the day relaxing on one of the Cape’s oldest wine estates!

Russian Tea Ceremony

Hosted in the elegant Avant-Garde space, where hand-painted murals and crystal chandeliers evoke the grandeur of Russian nobility, Hazendal’s unique Russian Tea Ceremony celebrates the central role tea has played in Russian society since 1638.

  • Baranki on Samovar – crisp tea biscuit on a Russian tea urn
  • Oladyi – crumpet with mushroom and herb ragout
  • Blinchik – thin crêpe with créme fraiche and spring onion

Eike Restaurant

Eike is nestled in an old historic building in the famous Dorp Street of Stellenbosch, also known as “Die Eikestad” – The Oak City. Eike celebrates traditional South-African cooking to its fullest by drawing inspiration from nostalgic food memories. Bertus and Head Chef Kyle du Plooy believes that tradition paves the way for our future.
