SU Botanical Garden
Stellenbosch University Botanical Garden is the oldest university botanical garden in South Africa, located in the historical centre of Stellenbosch. It houses an enormous diversity of plants from South Africa and around the world.

Eagle Encounters at Spier Wine Farm
Join the team at Spier Wine Farm for interactive flying shows, where the birds fly TO you and meet owls, porcupine, foxes, snakes, lizards, tortoises. Enjoy one-on-one wildlife fun while learning about these amazing creatures!

A must do activity is to spend a day visiting the many historical buildings and museums in Stellenbosch. There truly is something for everyone in this town! The Stellenbosch Village Museum currently comprises of four houses of historical interest and their gardens.

Each of these beautiful homes represents a different period in the architectural development of Stellenbosch. The houses, their interiors and their gardens have been wonderfully restored, furnished, planted and decorated to illustrate the particular style and taste of the time.

Oom Samie se Winkel

Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden
“Unearth the wilderness within” and a whole host of inspiration at the Dylan Lewis Studio and Sculpture Garden.

Glenelly Glass Museum
May de Lencquesaing’s spectacular glass collection housed at Glenelly Estate pays tribute to her life-long passion for rare and contemporary glass and the many attributes beautiful glass shares with fine wine. One of the largest privately-owned collections in the world, the exhibits range from the first and second century to modern classics, including pieces by Salvador Dali and Lino Tagliapietra. Visitors are able to learn through a journey retracing the 2000-year history of glassmaking, each of the 500 beautifully illuminated creations, antique and contemporary from around the world telling a story.

Bike Park at Blaauwklippen
As part of Blaauwklippen‘s ever-expanding tourism offering, the Specialized Experience Centre recently opened on the farm and launched a Bike Park which features a Velosolutions Pump Track and a state-of-the-art kiddies play area with a cycling track and a massive jungle gym.

The Stellenbosch University Museum is based in the former old Bloemhof School for Girls buildings, built in 1907, at 52 Ryneveld Street in Stellenbosch. The Museum preserves and promotes anthropological, cultural, historical and visual art collections.

Spier Wine Estate
Enjoy award-winning wines and delicious food platters on the banks of the Spier dam.

Skilpadvlei Wine Farm
The farm derives its charming name from the legendary colony of tortoises that was found in the vlei in the 1800s. The beautiful piece of land was dubbed Skilpadvlei and has been in the hands of the Joubert family since 1917. Today, fourth generation Willie Joubert upholds the proud family tradition of harnessing the rich potential of the land with a dedicated commitment to quality. Skilpadvlei is a fully operational 78ha farm.

Come and try our cheese cake and wine pairing for only R100 per person. Don’t know what to do with the little ones? Bring them along, they don’t have to miss out on the fun… we have a pairing for them at R55 each. Bookings for both pairings is essential.
