Stellenbosch Triennale 2025
Stellenbosch has transformed into a living canvas as we proudly host Southern Africa’s only triennale from 19 February to 30 April. The Stellenbosch Triennale 2025 invites you to experience ‘BA’ZINZILE: A REHEARSAL FOR BREATHING’ – a profound artistic journey that weaves through our streets and venues.
This groundbreaking public art exhibition brings together visionary international artists whose works invite contemplation about resilience, imagination, and our shared humanity. As you stroll between installations, you’ll find yourself part of an engaging conversation that bridges past and future and tradition and innovation.
Spier Light Art
As autumn gradually makes its presence known, Spier Wine Farm will once again transform into a magical nocturnal gallery. From 21 March to 21 April 2025, Spier Light Art invites you to wander through 16 illuminated installations that weave art, light and landscape into an unforgettable experience.
This free family adventure begins at dusk when the farm comes alive with creative brilliance. Complement your artistic journey with sunset picnics, Vadas’ smoky delights or bubbles under the stars.

Stellenbosch has been showing off lately with the most glorious weather and golden hour has never looked better. While summer is spoiling us with its last rays, kick back at De Vrije Burger Stellenbosch every weekend, with Frozé Fridays. Open from 12:00 – 20:00, Frozé’s will be half price all day, so come and soak up the last of the summer heat on the De Vrije stoep.
