Stellenbosch is bringing you some stunning specials this Father’s Day. Just because we’re in lockdown doesn’t mean we can’t spoil dad. Whether it be a braai, coated in fine red, a little taste of the ocean, or indulgence in magnum wine. These are our favourite ideas for Father’s Day in Stellenbosch.


Lanzerac is going all in this Sunday with two tremendously mouth-watering menus up for grabs. Take your pick and spoil dad this Father’s Day in Stellenbosch.

Four courses

  • Starter: Delicate twice-baked cheese souffle with saffron apple, honeyed nuts, beetroot, pomegranate, and herb salad.
  • Main course for the table: Aromatic Prawn Chowder with spiced corn ragout, coconut, chorizo popcorn, and coriander oil
  • Main course for the table: Traditional Beef Wellington served with potato and leek gratin, braised sweet potato, and biltong salt-roasted carrots.
  • Dessert: A decadent chocolate ganache slice with salted caramel, raspberry and white chocolate mousse, and fudge crumble.

R900 for two people or R1450 for a family of four (two adults and two children).



  • Snacks while you braai: Beef biltong, pork crackling, spiced nuts, and droëwors.
  • For the braai: Butter grilled corn mielies. Includes smoked chilli, coriander, curried ginger butter, and apricot mayo. Bacon-wrapped venison with loin pinotage basting, rosemary, and garlic aioli. Salted lamb ribs and Skaapstertjies. It comes with guava glaze, cured mustard seeds, and braai salt. Peri-Peri chicken skewers with coriander, lime, and coconut yogurt dip. A braai broodjie with Huguenot cheese, boerenkaas, tomato, onion, and chef’s braai broodjie jam. Boerewors wheel with tarragon mustard, tru­ffle mayo, and smoked ketchup. Snoek parcel spiced with sweet potato, apricot butter, lemon, and herbs.
  • Selection of sides and salads:

-Roast rainbow carrot salad with garden herbs, sesame and orange glaze

-crunchy slaw with seed granola, honey dressing, and pomegranates

-Tenderstem broccoli, almond and crisp bacon salad with yogurt dressing

-New potato salad with sour cream, spring onions & biltong rub.

  • Dessert: S’more rocky road. Includes marshmallows, cookie dough, salted caramel, chocolate, pecan praline, coconut biscuit

A pack for four guests will cost R1000.
