Unique to the Spier Spa is a magnificent Cape Herbal Bath House. A signature experience, the Cape Herbal Bath House is all about detoxification and deep relaxation. You start with a warm exfoliation using fresh snowbush and herbal salt, drawing out toxins and preparing your body for the next step. Then you’re wrapped in a cosy linen blanket and treated to an aromatic herbal bath along with a scalp massage that will leave you feeling renewed. The experience ends with a luxurious shea butter massage and a nourishing platter of farm-fresh food, perfectly paired with a glass of Spier’s organic wine.
The Cape Herbal Bath House features the Spier Spa’s specially developed line of all-natural treatment products – as do all ten of the adjoining treatment rooms. Spier Spa’s exclusive product line is crafted from farm-grown and wild-harvested botanicals, and complements the wellness journey.
This range was specifically created for the spa experience in consultation with Spier’s resident phytotherapist, who is on hand to personalise your wellness journey. Your very own treatment plan will be created using remedies rooted in African tradition and inspired by the plants grown on Spier’s farm and the surroundings.

Located in the heart of Stellenbosch wine country, the Spier Spa is designed to rejuvenate and restore you, with treatments inspired by the indigenous botanicals of the Cape Floral Kingdom, the world’s most biodiverse biome. Thousands of healing plants and herbs call this region home, and many of them grow on Spier’s farm. Spier carefully selected these plants, either wild-harvested or organically grown in its botanical garden, or sourced from neighbouring farms, to form the foundation of the Spier Spa treatments.
