The family-owned eatery, Rykaart’s, once located in the middle of bustling Stellenbosch has a beautiful new home on the biodynamic Longridge Wine Estate, and opens its doors on the 20th of September.
Run by Alex and Ella Rykaart, the new space is situated at the foot of the Helderberg mountains, overlooking breathtaking views of the False Bay Peninsula and Table Mountain. The new concept offers a set three-course family-style dining experience inspired by the beautiful produce grown on the farm.
With many years working in some of the top restaurants and hospitality establishments in the Cape Winelands the couple took the leap to open their own restaurant in the heart of their hometown, Stellenbosch, in 2021.
They enjoyed much success, including the awarding of a star at the Eat Out restaurant awards in their maiden year. When the opportunity for growth and the option to introduce a new concept arose, the Rykaart’s, plus their new baby Lara, made the decision to move to Longridge Wine Estate.
