Stellenbosch is a dream destination for runners and cyclists of all levels. One of the most loved routes starts at the Moederkerk, winds through town and continues into the beauty of Jonkershoek. It is scenic, social and filled with that feel-good morning energy. Along the way, stop at Motherdough for a proper reward. “The run from Stellenbosch town to Jonkershoek must be one of my all-time favourites, for so many reasons. It is an 18 km out-and-back route, so you can easily turn around sooner if you are after a shorter run. The route showcases so many classic Stellenbosch features, from coffee shops in central town and the beautiful Mostertsdrift neighbourhood, to the iconic Lanzerac Wine Estate and the breathtaking vineyard and mountain scenery. It is a very popular route, and the dedicated path makes it even more runner friendly. It truly is an incredible and unique run in Stellenbosch.”
