Avontuur Guided Farm Walks
Join Avontuur on the last Saturday of every month for their new guided Farm Walks with Alistair Tite.
Set off from their wine tasting area at 09:00 am and proceed down and around the perimeter of the Manor house, and follow the road to the top paddocks.
From here, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of gorgeous Table Mountain and Franschhoek in the distance, along with Avontuur’s magnificent mares, foals, and rich flora. You’ll return via the top dam and back to the restaurant where you’re welcome to enjoy a well-deserved meal.
Waterford Porcupine Trail
Discover Waterford’s rich diversity of indigenous fauna and flora on their Porcupine trail.
With three different routes ranging in levels of intensity, it’s up to you whether you’d like to take on the goliaths or indulge in a casual stroll through Stellenbosch’s blooming wilderness. Luckily all of these routes take you through both vineyards and natural Fynbos, ensuring you won’t miss out regardless of your choice.
On returning from the trail, enjoy a light lunch with a selection of three wines or top off your trip with a wine and chocolate tasting.

Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden
“Located between two worlds, one wild and one tamed.”
If you’re a fan of Dylan Lewis or any art or sculpture really, you’ll love winding through this 4km path dotted with over 60 magnificent sculptures. This garden bridges the gap between art and the outdoors, making it an ideal Stellenbosch adventure for both art vultures and outdoor lovers.
You can choose between a self-guided walk or a guided walk. The garden is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00. Last admission is at 15:30.

World Class MTB routes
This one’s a fantastic option for adrenaline junkies. If you’re a mountain bike enthusiast, it doesn’t get much better than this. The MTB trails in Stellenbosch range from short to long and from easy to challenging.
Note that if you’re interested in tackling the MTB routes, you’ll have to buy a permit.
Only annual or day permit holders are allowed access to the trails, and bike boards must be displayed on handlebars at all times. You can ride from sunrise to sunset.
Permit fees contribute to alien clearing, trail maintenance and community development.
Horse Riding at Pink Geranium
If you’re a fan of horse riding or you’d love to try it out, HRPG specializes in horseback trails in the Cape Winelands and are located between Cape Town and Stellenbosch.

Exclusive Vineyard and Cellar Experience at Jordan Wine Estate
Relish in a 360° tasting tour upon your next visit to Jordan Wine Estate, taking in some of the Cape’s most scenic attractions. This tour includes an open safari-style game viewing experience on a Land Rover, with stops at False and Table Bay, and a drive through the flora and fauna of the gorgeous Cape Winelands.
