On behalf of The Law Trust Chair in Social Justice and Visit Stellenbosch, you are invited to participate in the #Action4Inclusion Social Justice Walk taking place on 16 June 2022. The walk is part of ongoing fundraising efforts to end student debt and free the potential of students so they can meaningfully participate in developing our country.
Although this is a fundraising event for the #Action4Inclusion campaign, it is also an opportunity to embrace social justice against the backdrop of our country’s troubled history. The event acknowledges past injustices and seeks to share renewed hope, inspiration and collaboration between diverse stakeholders.
The Department of Tourism’s Recovery Plan involves re-igniting demand in the sector by stimulating domestic demand through targeted initiatives and campaigns. The #Action4Inclusion Social Justice Walk will be attended by colleagues, alumni, friends and captains of industries and we believe that it offers a unique opportunity to re-ignite demand in the Dwarsrivier Valley. The Dwarsrivier Valley is an undiscovered area of rich living history, cultural charm, and spectacular natural beauty in the Stellenbosch region. The 16km walk will follow the footsteps of the Pilgrimage of Hope to Pniël via the Old Helshoogte Pass.
