This year, Blaauwklippen’s annual Classical Carols by Candlelight will be a true highlight of the season. Head to Blaauwklippen Estate on 8 December where acclaimed international artist Niël Rademan, award-winning songstress Lynelle Kenned, and renowned pianist Elna van der Merwe will be accompanied by an exceptional, local string quartet of Veronica Bell and Elma Salt on violin, Mariette Schumann on viola and Estelle Smit on cello. This evening is not to be missed! Bring along a blanket and picnic basket or treat yourself to a delicious feast from our market vendors (available until 18h00).
More Blaauwklippen magic happens at their Twilight Market on 19 December, which promises a smorgasbord of fresh organic produce and rich artisanal coffee.
If you love the idea of music, dance and theatrical magic conjured under the stars then you will love A Summer Dream at Spier! Taking place on 13, 14 & 15 December and suitable for audiences of all ages, this enchanting spectacle weaves a fantastical tale of light and hope, brought to life by a weird and wonderful ensemble of dancers, clowns, actors and musicians.
The Friday night markets at Boschendal are also such a vibe! Admission is free but you do need to hop onto Quicket to book your spot and kick off your weekend with live music, delicious food and late-night shopping.
