Scootours
South Africa’s first Scootours Flow Trail with berms, rollers and a bush tunnel. During this 45-minute experience guests do a short run to get used to the Scooters and then are shuttled to the top of Middelvlei Wine farm to do two downhill runs of the Scootours Flow Trail.
You will enjoy freedom and the wind in your hair as you free wheel down the track.

Segway

Get up close and personal to some beautiful wildlife on these Stellenbosch wine farms
Villiera Game Drive
Together with two neighbours Villiera set aside 230 Ha of land to form a Wildlife Sanctuary for game. These conservation efforts take place alongside a determined indigenous tree-planting project. Over 100,000 indigenous trees have been planted to green fallow land and to mitigate our carbon footprint.
The Sanctuary includes 12 dams plus marsh areas which attract a huge variety of bird-life. Indigenous trees are grown in old milk containers, plastic water bottles etc. by their staff and then bought from them when a year old and planted out. Thousands of indigenous trees have also been donated by the Cape Garden Centre.
Several mammals have been introduced in the Wildlife Sanctuary:
Springbuck, Kudu, Giraffe, Bontebok, Eland, Gemsbok, Black Wildebeest, Bush Pig, Burchell’s Zebra, common Duiker, Steenbuck, Waterbuck and Grysbok.

Vredenheim Big Cat Park & Animal Farm
The Big Cats Park is fully approved by Cape Nature and currently home to 2 brown lions, 1 white lion, 1 black leopard, 1 African leopard and 3 Bengal tigers of which there are 2 white ones. Not to be missed is the feeding of the big cats which happens at 15h00.

Koelenhof
While the parents play, the kids can play harder in the Koelenhof play area! For only R40 per child, your bundle of joy will gain access to our play area.
To improve the safety of your little ones, the play area is surrounded by a secure clearview fence to keep toddlers from wandering off. The open layout of the KOEL-tainer area also makes keeping an eye on the kids easy.
For the adventurers, there are three awesome slides and an age-appropriate climbing wall to try out. They’ll even be able to bounce out their energy on a trampoline or by swinging across the monkey bars. Whichever activity they enjoy most, this jungle gym has it!

Pick up a putter
To complement the golf course and modern practice facilities, Hazendal has created the Kleine Hazen Putting Park, featuring a 27-hole putt-putt course to be enjoyed by golfers, non-golfers and families alike (with all equipment provided). While the manicured putting green on the golf course allows for focused practice, the Putting Park allows golfers and novices to discover the lighter fun side of the game.
The custom-designed park is suitable for all ages and skills. It offers an ideal team-building experience, with the adjacent picnic areas and jungle gyms making it the perfect destination to enjoy the various event and party packages on offer.

Celebrate at Soetmelksvlei
Embrace the charm of a traditional 19th century festive season at Soetmelksvlei this holiday season. There’s plenty to offer delight – from the farm animals to a life-size playhouse and the interactive kids’ outdoor play area at the Old Stables Restaurant. Little ones can unleash their creativity by crafting Christmas cards on handmade paper, which will be delivered to a Boland old age home in the lead up to Christmas. Hop onto the ox wagon for a ride around the yard – it’s like South African version of a Christmas sleigh ride, but with a farmyard flair and no reindeer in sight. Kids can also head into the Farmhouse kitchen to roll up their sleeves and help make and decorate festive biscuits.
