DESCRIPTION:Music is close to our hearts at Spier\, and we have always invested in the careers of South African artists. In response to the reception for The Routes of Sound over the past two years\, we are extending this bite-sized music festival from one weekend to a series of three winter weekends in 2026\, featuring a total of over 30 local musicians. \nThe concept of The Routes of Sound plays on the words routes and roots: the paths to musical discovery you’ll follow\, and the joy of enjoying music in its most elemental form: unplugged and up-close. For lovers of lyrics\, it’s a compelling\, enriching evening of wandering and a chance to be transported by the poetic musings of our local artists. \nLine-up 31 July & 1 August\nMuneyi – Jo’burg-based Tshivenda folk singer and songwriter\, and recipient of the 2025 Standard Bank Young Artist for music.\nRFKI + CJ Bergh\nMana + Gabriel Sieff\nKarla von Solmes\nJonny Smith\nAkeeda\nThe Big Band: Mishy Kope \nWe suggest booking an early meal at Veld to settle in beforehand. Dress warmly and bring comfortable walking shoes for strolling between venues. \nRoutes of Sound Menu at Veld\nJoin us at Veld before the music for a special Routes of Sound winter menu. Choose a seasonal main course\, each paired with a glass of Creative Block wine\, for R495 per person. To book\, contact: dine@spier.co.za \nRoutes of Sound Stay Package\nThe Routes of Sound Stay package includes one night for two adults\, with dinner at Veld\, two Routes of Sound tickets\, and extended Buzz Club hours for children aged 3-12.
