DESCRIPTION:Western Cape lovers of orchestral music will be able to experience internationally acclaimed double bassist and conductor\, Leon Bosch\, on the podium in Stellenbosch on Friday 6 September at 19:00 in the Endler Hall\, Stellenbosch. Maestro Bosch will conduct the Stellenbosch University Symphony Orchestra (USSO) during their second symphony concert of 2024. The programme comprises Glinka’s sparkling Ruslan and Ludmilla-overture\, followed by WA Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola (cello arrangement by Peter Martens)\, with soloists Suzanne Martens (violin) and Peter Martens (cello). Tchaikovsky’s Orchestral Suite No.4 (Mozartiana) will complete the programme.
