Experience winemaking as it was practised before the turn of the 19th century. Our trusty mules, Antjie and Saartjie, transport grapes to Soetmelksvlei where guests destem and sort bunches by hand before they get stomping to extract the juice! It’s messy work, please dress accordingly. Once pressed, the grape juice is transferred to fermentation tanks in the distillery. Followed by a hearty harvest table lunch featuring heritage dishes from the Cape Winelands.
