Vredenheim | BBQ, Burgers and Bubbles
Come and celebrate Braai Day with family and friends alongside the picturesque Vredenheim dams. Indulge in a flame-roasted burger, boerewors and sparkling drink while enjoying some beautiful background music by Emil Struwig.

Stellenbosch Village Museum | Heritage Fair
Join the Village Museum team this Heritage Day for a celebration of the diverse traditions that make up our beautiful nation. The entrance fee covers all workshops (such as bead-working, oil-painting, Arabic-Afrikaans writing), musical performances, wine tasting, and access to the Village Museum’s period houses. There will also be traditional foods for sale, as well as cakes from recipes handwritten here in Stellenbosch in 1819.

Clos Malverne Restaurant | Heritage Day Menu
Enjoy a delicious South African 3-course meal at the Restaurant at Clos Malverne. This will be a meal you do not want to miss. Chef Nicole will take you on a “safari” with true South African cuisine in celebration of our Heritage. You can look forward to familiar favorites such as vertkoek with curry mince, snoek with apricot compote, paptert, pampoenkoekies, bobotie, malva poeding and so much more.

Muratie Wine Estate | Heritage Tasting & Talk with Dr Rijk Melck
Heritage is the golden thread that connects past, present and future. At Muratie it is more than their historical buildings and artifacts, and the famous residents immortalised by their wines. It is the stories of traditions and relationships that have endured through centuries, also values and a team culture that are actively nurtured as part of their living heritage.

On the 24th of September, the Klein Joostenberg Picnics team always do a lekker braai in their garden and add a few new dishes to the menu. This year, they have decided to go all out and will be lighting the fire for TWO days!

TrailFun Heritage Run | Neethlingshof Wine Estate
Celebrate our natural heritage outdoors at the annual Heritage Day trail run hosted at the historic Neethlingshof Wine Estate. Established more than 300 years ago, Neethlingshof Estate boasts some of the best restored and preserved traditional Cape Dutch buildings, leaving visitors with a distinct sense of history and old-world charm. The run forms part of the TrailFun Holiday Series and is the perfect way to explore the beauty and charm of the farm and surrounding winelands and the Bottelary Hills Renosterveld Conservancy (BHRC) that strives to preserve the less than 5% remaining Renosterveld.

Heritage Day Picnic at Eikendal Vineyards

Lanzerac’s heritage focuses on honouring the land, the people, and the cuisine for more than 330 years. This Heritage Day, Executive Chef Stephen will be celebrating a famed favourite from the David Rawdon era as told by Michael Olivier – the renowned Lanzerac Cheese Buffet.
