6 Things to do at Jordan Wine Estate

If you haven’t been to Jordan Wine Estate, in Stellenbosch, here is what you are missing:

Wake up in the vineyards

In 2015 Gary & Kathy Jordan launched The Luxury Suites at Jordan Wine Estate. Each suite has spacious interiors that are individually designed and uniquely decorated, making the Jordan Luxury Suites an ideal choice for a unique & relaxing Winelands getaway.

Situated just 25 minutes from Cape Town International airport and 15 minutes from Stellenbosch, it is perfectly situated.

Facilities and services include free Wi-Fi, Egyptian cotton linen, Nespresso coffee machine, room safe, air conditioning, HD LED TV with DSTV satellite options, mini-fridge, hairdryer, en-suite bathroom and a veranda with outdoor furniture, the perfect place to sit and enjoy your complimentary bottle of Jordan Estate wine.

Take to the hills and enjoy endless single track

Having a link to the Bottelary Mountain Bike route has made enjoying the trails all that much more. The Bottelary Hills Conservancy (BHC) became a non-profit organisation in 2008 with the assistance of private landowners and conservation authorities who initiated and led the formation of the BHC. The BHC falls within the Cape Winelands Biosphere Reserve where it serves as a buffer zone to protect and maintain the rich biodiversity in the area.

They are pleased to share the same ethos at the BHC and to be a link on the trails. Buy your day permits for R50 from The Bakery at Jordan and head out to enjoy the most epic views of the Cape Winelands, Cape Town, Table Mountain and take in the flora and fauna of the region.

Did you know that on any given day, if you’ve got good eyes, you can spot the beautiful Cape Dwarf Chameleon, which according to African folklore are believed to have magical powers?

The Bakery at Jordan

After your time on the trails, take time to rest and relax with a delicious breakfast or lunch. Or put your feet up and enjoy the lawns in one of their picnics pods, basking in the dappled sunlight under the trees, while feasting on a basket full of scrumptious, freshly wood-fired breads, homemade dips and preserves, fresh salads, freshly baked tarts AND MORE…

The Bakery at Jordan is open for breakfast and lunch, 7 days a week, which means the menu changes seasonally.

Enjoy a 360° tour of the estate with panoramic views

Take some time to tour the vineyards in their open safari-style game viewing Land Rover, with stops to experience the spectacular views of False and Table Bays as well as the flora and fauna of the Cape Winelands.

Jordan Wine Estate is unique by nature’s design and there is no better way to experience the terroir & geology of the estate whilst tasting a selection of wines in the sustainably grown vineyards.

A selection of wine tastings are available at the tasting room that allows you to taste their award-winning wines. From the Estate range all the way through to the Reserve wines.
