Travelling in this day and age is a little different from what it used to be. But that alone shouldn’t keep you from exploring and discovering our beautiful warm-hearted town.
We have worked incredibly hard to ensure that Stellenbosch is open for business and ready to safely welcome you.
Here are five reasons why Stellenbosch is the place to be:
When you travel, you want to know that you and your loved ones are safe and that your wellbeing has been prioritised, whether you’re travelling for business or pleasure.
Our Stellenbosch community understands this and have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that all the necessary preparations have been made for your arrival.
Part of that commitment to you is ensuring that Visit Stellenbosch members are complying with stringent health and safety protocols aligned with international and local best practices. Keep an eye out for our Stellenbosch Ready stamp, and you’ll be in safe hands!
So, when you make the journey to our warm-hearted part of the world, you can do so with absolute peace of mind. We look forward to welcoming you back.
The WTTC awards their stamps of approval to destinations that have conformed to the recommended guidelines preparing them for tourism post-COVID-19.
Stellenbosch was awarded Africa’s first stamp of approval from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), which outlined the necessary safety precautions to ensure that destinations are ready to welcome back travellers.
The WTCC works with the private sector tourism industry across 185 countries and has developed world-class protocols for adoption by municipalities, tourism bodies, and establishments during the pandemic.
The WTCC has agreed that Stellenbosch complies with the insights and toolkits made available to them, acknowledging our efforts to help travellers feel safe while travelling and engaging with the local tourism stakeholders and respective governments.
